From the Department of Information’s ongoing series of nature posters. Fire coral is a reef-building hydrocoral found in tropical Atlantic waters, known for its bright branching form and sting. Despite the name, it’s not technically a true coral.
This large-format screen print features Millepora alcicornis (fire coral), rendered in custom fluorescent coral ink and printed by hand on French Paper Co. Maduro Beach Speckletone archival stock. Each print is signed, numbered, and pulled in NYC.
